I’m excited to announce a project I’ve been working on over the last few years. My new book, Live Small, Live Big! In it, I illustrate the path I’ve taken to become who I am today, both personally and as a dentist. The topics in this book are things I personally have struggled with while searching for purpose. Sometimes they are things I still struggle with!
As a new dentist starting out over 10 years ago, my passion was to create something different. My focus has been to see fewer patients and to give the patients I do see my undivided attention. In doing so, I have differentiated my practice from those of my peers and learned to look at success in a new light.
As a patient or potential patient there are two reasons I hope you read this book. The first—I want you to get to know me better. Did you know I have jumped out of a plane, that I play the piano, or that I love doing root canals, dental implants and veneers and find them—even the really hard ones—to be beautiful puzzles? I strive to build relationships with my patients that make everyone I meet feel welcome and comfortable.
The second reason is I hope I can help you understand the power of fear. If fear has control in our lives, we can see that there are a million reasons not to do something. If we confront our fears, however, we can discover the one reason to act. At Sleep Dentistry Defined, I want to help patients overcome their fear of the dentist, improve their health, and be proud of their smiles. With my training and the aid of sleep dentistry, I can make every procedure virtually painless and stress free.
